That must be one Scary Santa!

Pumpkin was all excited to see Santa, talked about it for hours when it came time this was the only picture The Wife could get. Luckily someone from the media was there and got a better shot that was featured in todays paper.

Sorry bout that

So I haven't been posting a whole lot, I am re-entering the Suck. You might refer to it as going back to work. I am having a hard time getting myself motivated to do this again. The wife is having a time this week with me being on midnight shift. Z is still a night owl, and The Wife is a one parent show these nights while I am at work.

The other thing that has me worried as of late is if I can pull this off. I feel blessed to have 3 jobs when so many people in the world have none. The problem I am having is the job that I really rely on, my part time paramedic job is driving my stress level through the roof. They have a had an influx of talented people come looking for work, which is great for the company but not so good for me. While the company saves on overtime, I am week by week concerned on if I will be receiving the amount of hours I need to keep the Marble house running.

I am dying to get back to school, but that doesn't seem to be working so well either with the amount of school loans out there and my lack of flexibility in my schedule. I really don't want to take 8 years to get a degree.

Good thing is everyone is doing fine. Mama and the Kids are all happy, and healthy. We are all waiting for spring, this being cold stuff sucks.

Thanks for Listening Merry Christmas, and God Bless!

Leave it to me to go Extra Commercial

You don't even know how many ornaments you have to buy just to make a 9' tree look half decorated!

You Spin me right round baby right round, like a record baby right round.

That is right it spins, check the star and the other decorations in the 2 pictures.

Santas entrance.

The Girls, being cute like they do.

Well, to keep you all up to speed. Everyone is home from the hospital, and feeling fine. Sleep is scarce, but we are making do. Pumpkin has become the little mama, "I holded the baby Z" she is always asking. Pumpkin and Grandma or Dwhamma made signs for Mommy and Baby Z's arrival home, Pumpkin was quite happy, she is just not a fan of the cold(do not comment on the trim it not supposed to be yellow, but I just haven't gotten to it when it is a decent day outside).
Overall my time off has been fun, spending time with the newly expanded family, watching Christmas Special Cartoons, decorating, and doing errands around the house. Today I had to call for reinforcements, when moving the chest freezer from the garage to the basement, I got stuck. You see I measured for width, and height is what got me. Never fear D was in the neighboorhood with a helping hand. It has been a great vacation, although it is amazing that it is almost over. Back to the old grind Saturday morning the only brightside of going back is the rest I will get in my downtime, no babies screaming there, although I will miss it.

Ain't she pretty!

Well she is here, Baby Z has arrived. Her debut was a grand success. Mom is doing well, Z is doing well. It was a hard process for Mom ,but she is a trooper. Baby Z is 8lbs 15oz, 20 inches long, with a full head of hair. She already has a good appetite, and the other functions all work well to. Hope to have her home in a few days, as well as her big sister is mad that mommy is not home.

There has been only one drawback. This evening when I was on my way home as I tried to remove the snow from my windshield a noticed a note. The note informed me that a truck had hit my car, and when I checked they sure had. So if you happen to see a Maroon Dodge 4x4 with a broken rear window, with a female driver Pa plate GPS 2762, Give her the Finger for me!

The Thanksgiving Shuffle

Being a child of divorce, I learned at a young age the Holiday Shuffle, start at Moms Family then to Dads family. Now add the Wife's family it gets interesting. This Thanksgiving will start off by going to the massive undertaking of Dads family where all the clan of sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and friends, all told approximately 25-30 folk. Then a quick stop at MelanieWelanies for a quieter, but brief celebration. Then off to work, to lounge around full of Turkey and trimmings. While the Wife and the Little One will head on to my In Laws for another celebration.

Don't get me wrong I am not sad about being a child of divorce, I got to have Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter and Birthdays twice. That was always pretty sweet.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving and Don't hurt yourself on all the good grub!

Dang it!

Well here it is Tuesday night, and still no new bundle of joy. Now I know she is gonna do what she wants and that she needs her time in the oven, but come on already. Tomorrow is the cut off day if nothing happens tomorrow then no deer season for me.

On the upside, everything is progressing well. The wife has appointments 3 times a week ,and they said the baby is turned and ready to go. I really feel for the wife because she is miserable, just when you think no feet in the kidneys there is a watermelon head there and those feet are now in your lungs. God bless her for doing it because I am a wussy. I would do the Jolie thing and go get one from a 3rd world country before going through that kind of misery.

Another Upside to this whole baby thing is Maternity Leave! Thats right I am getting some time off, and I don't care how many butts I have to wipe to do it. I am working afternoon on Thanksgiving and then I do not go back till December 15th. Free at last Free at last!

Moving on up, to the eastside!

This is it I am packing up the wife and kids and getting out of dodge. I finally found a house that is good enough for my family. It is not to flashy, I would not want to cause any envy among the commoners. Luckily it is a steal with the shambles that the housing market is in. By the same token the shack we currently live in is worth just about $3.50. Don't worry this is in Lake Milton if you are not sure where Lake Milton is, about 10 minutes from Leisure Lake, does that help.

Another rough one,

Yesterday for alot of families would have been an extremely joyous day, but not for mine. November 16th 2005, was a real growing experience for me. It was when I realized nothing is a sure thing, the worst things sometimes happen to the best people, and wow life ain't fair. Jackson our little guy would have been three yesterday.

I spent part of the day at work almost trying not to remember it is what I do best, even though it is the worst thing I can do for the rest of the family. Jen spent the day with pumpkin, who doesn't really give you much chance to reflect, she is just way to much energy. We both went to see Jackson but schedules conflicted and we went at seperate times.

I am not dragging this all out to make you all depressed. I just felt like putting my 21st century pencil on paper, and and letting off steam. Just do yourselves a favor today be extra thankful for what you have, don't take it for granted, and Spend a few moments with The Lord, it helps.

Watch out Bambi, Here I come!

In a Comment left from Mom of DDG, she stated December 1st is a great birthday unless Dad is a hunter. Well Dad is a hunter. Me and the wife had a conversation about that when the C-section was scheduled without consideration of deer season. I am still hoping for something to happen the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Then she would be home for the holiday and everyone would get to see her. and I could go hunting, fulfilling that hunting gathering instinct, to compliment the wife's nesting instinct. I also thought it would be quite fun to take BB along, If I had Melanie Welanie's permission.

Meet the crew>

It is pretty simple addition you see, you take two good looking people(the wife and me). and you can end up with something extraordinary!

This is Pumpkin our 2 year old. This is an older picture but one of my favorites.

Baby Girl, so far scheduled for arrival on December 1st.

"You Like Apples?"

Me and a friend/coworker were talking about movie lines that you would like to use yourself one day. He brought up Good Will Hunting, when after a confrontation with another guy in a bar Matt Damon ends up with the girls number. Later on in the night seing the guy that he was just into it with in the bar he says "Hey you like apples?, I got her number. How about those apples!"

Wouldn't that be great to be able to use that someday. My problem is that when that comes along, I will forget about it, and then kick myself for forgetting it later. That is where I am on this blog, all the great things that I had tried to remember whenever I decided to do this, I forgot. Just hold on while I jog my memory.

"If everyone else jumped off a bridge", then get me a towel!

That is right, here I am. I can not let everyone else be in on the whole blogging thing with out me. I am sure that you my blog readers are dying to hear my funny stories, even if they are only funny to me. I will try to bring a variety of posts not just banter on about kids, work, guitar stuff, flatulence, youtube videos, or any other topic. I want to bring all that and more, so lets prepare for take and get our tray tables to an upright position the smoking light is on, Smoke 'em if you got 'em!
